Job Description

You'll be responsible for understanding manufacturing processes from a process, cost, and quality perspective, and identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve safety and quality, reducing costs, or refine production processes.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Communicate frequently with Production team to understand support requirements.
- Ensure that appropriate process tooling, procedures, and equipment are in place. Develop tooling, procedures, and processes as required.
- Identify and justify capital equipment that will contribute to process and safety improvements, cost reductions, quality improvements and variation elimination.
- Continually evaluate and improve the flow of materials/products through manufacturing processes.
- Identify and monitor quality indicators and resolve equipment/tooling design/process problems.
- Support NPI and duplication projects to help improve factory capabilities.
- Ensure that manufacturing documentation and training material is accurate and maintained.
- Review key process performance indicators for potential improvement.
- Assist in developing operator training and qualification programs.
- Identify and specify through PMAPS, basic manufacturing processes necessary for production.
- Initiate process and quality improvement activities through use of statistical techniques.
- Troubleshoot out of control manufacturing processes.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical engineer, mechatronics engineer, industrial engineer etc. or recognized equivalent).
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
- Knowledge of machining, welding, mechanical assembly, electronics assembly and testing.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, Solid works, Catia
- Proficient in English.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Project Management knowledge/experience, particularly in manufacturing environments
- Proven track record of Continuous Process Improvement methods (Kaizen, Six Sigma) with having improved manufacturing processes by using relevant tools/techniques/eliminating waste
- Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
- Knowledge and experience with statistical methods to improve manufacturing processes
- Proficient in Dutch.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), onsite position at our Ede location (hybrid working is not available).
