As a Senior/Staff Engineer in NAND Product Development-CAD at Micron Technology, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in providing CAD support to the NVE Product Engineering Teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with Design Engineering and Technology Development teams, ensuring alignment between tools and environments for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

NVE PE CAD Tool Development and Support:

  • Develop and support custom tools focused on Design, Physical Verification, and Simulation enablement and improvements.
  • Accountable for M-Files development and support.
  • Participate in MaskTech Tool Development activities to ensure alignment and utilize TD MaskTech resources as needed.
  • Automate tapeout processes, support DBD (PE) interests, and collaborate with Micron-wide teams to ensure global utilization of developed automation.
  • Develop and maintain metrics systems to monitor PE DBD effectiveness and efficiency.

Flash Design Environment (FDE) Support:

  • Own and support PE environments across all sites.
  • Manage Design Project setup for Boise, Singapore, and India PE Sites, including PE and TD Project Access for NVE.
  • Collaborate with Design Teams to ensure alignment between PE-owned and DE-owned environments, sharing solutions and collaborating on changes.
  • Provide Perforce, SVN, and Design Sync support, including permission management and architecture.

PE and TD Physical Verification Support and Automation:

  • Develop custom Physical Verification methods in collaboration with Product Engineering and Technology Development teams.
  • Own and support Physical Verification automation for PE and partner organizations such as TD (e.g., Scribe, Gen Develop) and DE.

Requirement :

  • 8+ years of experience in Semiconductor CAD.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Coursework in VLSI, semiconductor processes, and semiconductor device physics.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop automation methodologies supporting Tapeout flows and Simulation tools.
  • Provide training and support for new engineers, deliver instruction, and assist with debugging for Product Engineering and related partners.
