Senior IT Technologist – SAP Finance (FMB)

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Finance Functional Analyst with extensive experience in SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Central Finance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of finance domain/capabilities such as Record to Report, Operations Finance, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, Controllership, Intercompany transactions, Tax, Treasury, Audit, Accounts Payable, Travel and Expense Management and systems integration, particularly with systems such as Blackline, Vertex, ReVal, OneSource.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP finance solutions.
• Configure, customize, and maintain SAP finance modules, including but not limited to FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), and AA (Asset Accounting).
• Provide expertise in SAP finance best practices and advise on system optimizations and enhancements.
• Lead and participate in end-to-end implementation projects, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, training, and support.
• Perform system integration activities with third-party systems such as Blackline, Vertex, ReVal, and others, ensuring seamless data flow and process alignment.
• Conduct thorough testing of configured solutions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to SAP finance modules and integrations.
• Provide user training and support during project implementations and post-go-live phases.
• Stay updated on SAP finance trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve processes and systems.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of experience with an advanced degree or equivalent work experience. 
• Hands on experience as an SAP Finance Functional Analyst, with a focus on SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Central Finance.
• Prior project experience with moving a client from ECC to S4 HANA is a plus.
• Proven experience in SAP support/implementations, with a focus on Finance and integrated modules.
• Strong understanding of financial processes, SOX compliance and risk management practices.
• Hands-on experience in configuring and customizing SAP finance modules to meet business requirements.
• Experience with Global rollouts.
• Strong virtual communication skills across all levels of Finance and IT organizations
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.

Nice to Have:

• Prior Pharma and/or Medical Device experience is desired.
• Familiarization with automation tools and Robotic Processing (RPA)
