Are you ready to help build the digital backbone of Europe?
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer / Construction Manager (+5 years) to join our team on a high-profile Data Center project in Denmark, specifically focusing on the delivery of complex Underground Services.
Location: The Netherlands
Employment Type: Fulltime (40 hours per week)
Industry: Construction / Civil Engineering / Infrastructure
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Language: Fluent in English
What will you do?
This isn’t a “sit behind a desk” job. You will be the technical and safety engine on the ground, ensuring that mission-critical infrastructure is installed to the highest standards. You’ll bridge the gap between engineering design and site execution, with a heavy focus on underground utilities, duct banks, and drainage systems.
- Safety Leadership: You’ll be responsible for putting gangs to work safely, ensuring all RAMS and safety paperwork are vetted and in place before a shovel hits the dirt.
- Operational Excellence: Plan and coordinate site works between internal workforces and subcontractors to keep the schedule on track.
- Quality Rigor: Perform multiple QA/QC checks on each gang daily. In the world of mission-critical construction, “good enough” doesn’t exist.
- Communication: Act as the primary link between site teams and senior management, ensuring clear reporting on progress and roadblocks.
What will you bring?
- Experience: 5+ years in civil engineering or construction management, specifically within the Data Center sector or similar high-stakes environments.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Underground Services and the specific tolerances required for mission-critical infrastructure.
- Safety-First Mindset: A proven track record of managing Health & Safety (H&S) on active, high-traffic sites.
- QA/QC Focus: Experience maintaining rigorous quality records and snagging processes.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in the fast-paced, high-standard environment of a Danish hyperscale site.
What do we offer you?
- Immediate start
- Competitive salary according to the CAO Bouw & Infra, or an attractive hourly rate for freelancers (depending on experience and type of contract)
- Working in a dynamic construction environment
- A lot of independence and responsibility
- Long-term projects
- Opportunities for training and certifications
- A close-knit team and an informal working atmosphere
You’ll be part of a team delivering one of the most sophisticated infrastructure projects in the Nordics. We value candidates who have “boots on the ground” experience and a genuine passion for engineering excellence.
