Model-Based Design Engineer

Role Description

The Automotive Senior will act as a domain technical engineer who has experience on solution analyze, implementation activities as well as planning, development, and validation of a Battery Management System (BMS) for HEV/PHEV/EV platforms. The role supports both hardware and software teams, ensuring alignment with automotive standards like ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and ASPICE CL2/CL3, and guides the implementation lifecycle from System Requirements to SWE.6 Qualification Testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define architecture design for BMS including BSW and ASW components.
• Recommend MCU and IC selections (e.g., RH850, S32K, AURIX).
• Support HSI (Hardware-Software Interface) design and integration.

Process & Compliance

• Support ASPICE SWE.1 to SWE.6, and HWE.1 to HWE.4.
• Define traceability matrices and support audits.

Test & Validation Support

• Oversee HIL readiness, signal mapping, and diagnostic protocols.
• Recommend test and CI/CD strategies using industry-standard tools.

Project Coordination

• Bridge onshore and offshore team collaboration.
• Advise on delivery models, resource planning, and milestone tracking.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years in automotive embedded systems, ideally in EV/BMS domain.
• Deep knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic, ISO 26262, and ASPICE.
• Hands-on experience with BSW, MCAL, and ASW.
• Tool familiarity: Mobilgene, Vector DaVinci, CANoe, INCA, Trace32, Jira, Polarion, MATLAB Simulink.
• Strong communication skills for customer and offshore coordination.
• English & Korean fluently and confidently skill.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP or equivalent).
• ASPICE Provisional Assessor certification.
• Experience with OEMs or Tier-1s (e.g., VW, Hyundai, Toyota, Valeo, Kefico).
