Role Overview:

This role will lead the localization strategy for one of

India’s largest and most respected business conglomerates.,

focusing on the evaluation and implementation of component

manufacturing capabilities in India vs. imports. The role requires a

unique blend of engineering and commercial acumen to optimize

supply chain cost and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

 Drive the strategy for component localization in India for 

vehicle product lines.

 Analyse and propose which components can/cannot be localized

based on cost, quality, and supplier availability.

 Work with Chinese partners and Indian manufacturing teams to

streamline sourcing.

 Deliver techno-commercial evaluations for powertrain, batteries,

ADAS, interiors, chassis, and BMS systems.

 Coordinate with cross-border teams to meet aggressive

localization targets.


Candidate Profile:

 15+ years of experience in automotive sourcing, engineering, or

manufacturing.

 Strong knowledge of auto components, cost structures, and

supply chain.

 Prior experience in both engineering and commercial

(sourcing/procurement) roles.
