Our organization is currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Power Transformers of Business to join their team in Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• The successful candidate will be part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Power Transformer 400 kV Class design covering different countries.
• Responsible for generating active part and windings/ Tank & Externals meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE standards.
• Responsible for preparation of customer documents, manufacturing drawings, bill of materials, etc., and submission to customer as per project schedule.
• Understanding of transformer mechanical design, thermal, dielectrics, short circuit and sound performance, and transformer mechanics.
• Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Participation in internal design concept reviews.
• Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills would be a preference.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• B.E / B. Tech Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• 4-8 years working in mechanical design for power transformers manufacturing industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.
• Knowledge of CAD software, any 3D Modelling software is a must. Creo is considered an advantage.
• Should understand transformer design, mechanical calculations, dielectrics, clearance/creepage, basic layout, and cleats lead arrangement.
• Should have a good understanding of IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards.
• Experience in winding design / Tank & externals is an advantage.
• Experience in simulation or software development would be advantageous.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
• Demonstrated team building skills would be a preference.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
