Senior Process Engineer responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for the Engineering design team activities, with particular focus on process design/process engineering.
• Acting as Process Design lead for site projects and small process changes.
• Attend regular process design/process change review meetings and provide technical guidance and advice to ensure safe, fit-for-purpose scopes are achieved and subsequently executed.
• Provide technical solutions for new plant/equipment and revamp of existing plant/equipment to improve functionality, safety, and reliability based on approved process designs.
• Prepare specifications for all new and revamped equipment and provide support for equipment purchases.
• Evaluate existing process units as a means to support the plant/testing team troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking constraints, and improving reliability.
• Provide plant support when necessary, e.g., installation or change of equipment, operation of equipment.
• Liaise and work effectively with external engineering resource providers to support the design, deployment, and commissioning of the Balance of Plant of the different systems.
• Engage in the plant safety and the general company safety programs.
• Work with Testing Engineers to understand/help resolve upgrades to existing fuel cell systems and design of new fuel cell systems.

Background

• A degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Solid experience working in various Process Design Engineering roles in industrial environments.
• Good understanding of chemical engineering principles in terms of hydraulics, heat transfer, mass transfer, separation processes, and control/operation of associated plant.
• Good knowledge of process equipment and technology, sizing and preparing process equipment specifications, and preparing safety-critical calculations for protective and control devices.
