IT Support Engineer for Manufacturing Environments

Location: Bremen or Hamburg

Language: German B2 minimum

Level: Junior and Senior opportunities available

Travel: Required across Germany

This is not a desk-based IT role. This is hands-on, production-critical support inside live manufacturing environments. If you enjoy factory floors, automation, and real-world problem-solving, you will thrive here. If you want comfort and predictability, this is not for you.

What You Will Be Doing

• Supporting and improving digital solutions in live production environments
• Translating operational problems into technical actions with production teams
• Participating in system deployments, upgrades, and controlled releases
• Integrating machines, software, and data across PLC, SCADA, OPC, and wider IT and OT landscapes
• Working closely with architects, developers, and production leadership
• Maintaining clear, structured documentation and upgrade roadmaps
• Senior engineers will mentor junior colleagues and drive technical standards

What You Need

• Degree or relevant technical apprenticeship
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
• Exposure to MES, automation, SCADA, PLC, machine data, or shop floor systems
• Understanding of production, quality, maintenance, or process engineering
• Fluent communication in German and English
• Willing to travel across Germany as part of project delivery
