Job Description

• Lead functional safety and SOTIF (Safety of the Intended Functionality) in automotive development projects.
• Support development processes using safety analysis methods.
• Lead communication and negotiation with customers regarding functional safety requirements, concepts, and assessments.
• Promote proposals and problem-solving related to functional safety and SOTIF internally and externally, collaborating with global teams (Germany, India, Hungary, etc.).

Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills

• Deep interest in safety.
• Experience or technical knowledge in software or hardware development.
• Basic knowledge and experience in development flow/process.
• Japanese: Business level or higher.
• English: Business level reading and writing / Intermediate speaking.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience in embedded device development (especially in automotive or control-related fields).
• Knowledge or experience in project management or leadership.
• Experience in customer interaction and negotiation.
• Knowledge or practical experience with ISO 26262, ISO 21448, A-SPICE.
• Experience with safety analysis methods such as FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DRBFM.

English Proficiency

• TOEIC score of 700 or above is a guideline, but practical communication skills are prioritized. English training is available internally, and motivation to improve language skills is valued over scores alone.

Work Environment

• Flexible working environment with recommended office attendance once a week and the possibility of remote work 2-3 days a week.
