We are seeking a talented Product Design Engineer who can think like an engineer and ensure the feasibility of designs for high-volume production.

They are looking for experienced, hands-on Product Design Engineers to improve the functionality and manufacturability of physical products.

The Role

As a Product Design Engineer, you will play an essential role in ensuring that frontend concepts are engineered for successful manufacturing. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and optimising physical products with a primary focus on Design for Manufacture (DfM)
• Collaborating with the product team to assess feasibility and refine concepts into reliable, efficient designs
• Liaising with manufacturing partners in Asia to ensure processes align with design specifications
• Occasional international travel to manufacturers may be required

Skills and experience

We are looking for an enthusiastic, results-driven professional who has:

• 3+ years of experience and proven ability designing physical products
• degree in a relevant field such as: Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aeronautical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
• ability to manage your own work as well as working effectively within a team
• knowledge of materials characteristics and manufacturing processes
• ability to express ideas effectively via concept sketching, rendering, prototyping, testing, technical drawings/DfM, written and verbal communication
• expertise with 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks)
