Process Engineer - Life Sciences (Flanders)

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to join our team and support one of our key clients in the pharmaceutical industry.

Main Responsibilities

• Execute CAPEX projects involving preprocessing, compounding, formulation and filling of aseptic products.
• Initiate projects and develop business cases in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Source and engage with suppliers, manage equipment ordering, conduct design reviews, and oversee FAT/SAT, commissioning and IQ/OQ/PQ testing to ensure timely start-up of equipment.
• Manage project budgets and schedules across multiple departments.
• Serve as subject matter expert for preprocessing, compounding, and filling processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and evaluate alternative technologies.
• Define and execute project strategies in line with cost, schedule, quality, and functionality requirements.

Your Profile

• Master’s or PhD in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering, including at least 2 years managing CAPEX projects in a regulated environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry and aseptic production.
• Strong knowledge of preprocessing, compounding, formulation and filling processes, as well as project management practices including contract management and project controlling.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong collaboration, organizational, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
