Position: Primary Design Engineer

Join a high-performing design division in a Tier 1 contractor, working closely with the design partner to deliver substation primary engineering up to 500kV and play a key role in shaping the future of the grid.

• Lead primary substation design up to 500kV, including layout, equipment arrangement, and electrical clearances
• Perform design calculations
• Develop complete design packages including BOMs and technical specs for HV equipment
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure clash-free, optimised designs
• Review system studies

• Proven experience as a Primary Engineer on major energy infrastructure projects (HV/EHV substations)
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering)
• CPEng or working towards it
• Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g. Engineers Australia)
