Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Design Engineer with expertise in aerospace primary and secondary structure design, payloads design, and system support design. The ideal candidate must have expertise in Catia V5, including Workbench – Part Design, Assembly Design, Sheetmetal, Generative Shape Design (GSD), and 3D Functional Tolerancing and Annotations (FTA). Experience in Relational and Parametric Modelling is required.

Applicants should have a good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) and an understanding of Engineering drawings in both 2D/Model Based Definition (MBD). Expertise in V4/Mylar Sheet to V5 Conversion for both 3D and 2D/MBD is essential. The role involves creating manufacturing (detail, assembly, installation) 2D Drawings/3D MBD as per ASME Standard.

The candidate must be able to design components considering Tolerance stack up, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Coordination and communication with team members are crucial. Experience in PLM Software Enovia, 3D Experience, and Sustenance and Change Request projects is required. Experience in Boeing Project and Catia Composite Part Design (CPD) workbench will be an advantage.

A Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering is required, along with 4-5 years of experience in an engineering classification/position. Comprehensive knowledge of Aircraft life cycle, Fuselage & Systems, and experience in Aerospace structures & payloads design, CATIA V5, Enovia, and CAD Automation are necessary.

Experience in an Aircraft or Aerospace Manufacturing environment is preferred. The candidate should have advanced skills in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Aerospace industry standards. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, along with strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
