Would you take the opportunity to work in a company whose vision is to create solutions for waste to reborn as raw materials and renewable energy? Established in 1929, our organization is one of the global leaders in sustainable waste refining and solid biofuel handling systems. You will become part of a team of skilled, enthusiastic, and determined people who share the same values, goals, and passion for building a renewable future together.

Join us as a Design Engineer to develop innovative equipment solutions that support the transition towards a renewable future. In this role, you will work as part of a product design team, responsible for the mechanical design of equipment included in our deliveries, and participate in project implementation, product management, and development.

We are looking for two designers with different focuses:

  1. Design Engineer - Product Manager, Belt Conveyors: In this role, you will work as a designer and product group manager for belt conveyors. Your tasks will include basic design, subcontractor management, technical calculations/support for sales, and design guidance for steel structures.
  2. Design Engineer - Mechanical Designer with Steel Structure Design Expertise: In this role, you will focus on designing steel structures and work on various project deliveries and Life Cycle Services modifications.

As a Design Engineer, you will work closely with the design network and support procurement, production, and suppliers with technical questions. You will lead projects carefully and ensure they progress according to the agreed scope, schedule, costs, and quality.

You can work in a hybrid model (50/50) from our offices in Rauma, Pori, Tampere, or Turku, and partially remotely. The job occasionally involves travel to customer sites and our workshop in Rauma.

We are committed to supporting your skills development. You will receive comprehensive onboarding and the support of the entire work community. We offer flexible remote work practices and provide the necessary tools for your home office.

We offer a monthly salary based on your previous experience and comprehensive employment benefits, including cultural and sports benefits. Our organization also provides excellent opportunities for career development and professional growth.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for individuals with an engineering degree (AMK or DI) and at least two years of design experience. You should have a technical and development-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage schedules. You should also be willing to occasionally visit work sites and workshops.

Experience in layout design or strength calculations is considered an advantage, as is previous manufacturing technical experience from the workshop side (e.g., welding/machining).

We use SolidWorks software, Office tools, ERP systems (Profio), and AutoCAD software in our design work, and it would be beneficial to have previous experience with these, but do not hesitate to apply even if your experience is with other software.

The job requires strong problem-solving skills and creativity, but also the readiness to handle routine tasks. We value a proactive, results-oriented, and practical approach to project implementation and excellent collaboration skills.

You should have fluent oral and written language skills in both Finnish and English, and other language skills are considered an advantage. Our internal language is English.

We hope you can start as soon as possible or as agreed.
