Job Description

Join our organization as a Data Scientist. You will support the operations department in the area of Data Science and independently develop solution concepts for process automation of core insurance processes. Our team consists of eight members who look forward to your support!

Responsibilities

• Implement Data Science projects based on image, text, and speech inputs.
• Create AI and rule-based text analysis models in collaboration with business analysts and departments.
• Regularly evaluate the efficiency and quality of AI models using metrics like F1 Score.
• Handle Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) tasks such as model maintenance and performance measurements.
• Build robust end-to-end solutions that integrate well into our development processes.
• Create Machine Learning models for various insurance automation projects using Python.
• Design and implement LLM-based systems for information extraction from documents.
• Actively seek innovations in process automation for core insurance processes.
• Collaborate with the Smart Automation Community worldwide to explore new tools and automation possibilities.
• Contribute to improving our AI framework, including the Generali Analytics Platform in AWS.
• Flexibly take on data engineering tasks to shape end-to-end solutions holistically.

Qualifications

• Completed IT education or degree with a focus on AI processing.
• 3-5 years of experience in Data Science, particularly in automated document and email attachment processing using Machine Learning and LLMs.
• Practical experience in project management or leading Data Science and process automation projects.
• Knowledge of various AI model procedures, with deep expertise in Python for document processing and text extraction.
• Basic knowledge of the insurance industry is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• Proactive approach to innovation.
• High resilience, teamwork skills, and enjoyment of independent work.
• Excellent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
• Ideally, knowledge of IBM Cognos Analytics, Atlassian Confluence, and JIRA.

Minimum salary of 55,000 EUR gross per year for 38.5 hours per week. Actual salary will be agreed upon based on your education and experience.
