Analog Design Engineer - Frontend Circuits

We are currently partnered with a cutting edge deep tech semiconductor start up in Germany looking to expand their team with multiple Analog Design Engineer to work on cutting-edge ADC and DAC development in advanced CMOS processes.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Aachen (hybrid work of 2-3 days per week remote is possible).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop analogue front-end circuits such as LNAs, drivers, mixers, amplifiers, filters, and clocking blocks.
  • Develop and validate biasing, clocking, and interface circuits for high-speed ADC/DAC integration.
  • Conduct system-level analysis and simulations (AC, noise, transient, Monte Carlo, corner cases) to ensure reliable performance.
  • Apply expertise in floorplanning, matching, shielding, and parasitic reduction.
  • Prepare documentation for design specifications, results, and testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including digital and RF designers.

Key Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related discipline.
  • 6+ years’ experience in analogue/mixed-signal IC design, ideally with transmitter and receiver front-end circuits.
  • Strong background in LNAs, VGAs, mixers, drivers, and clocking circuits.
  • Proficiency with EDA tools (Cadence Virtuoso/Spectre, ADS, HSPICE, or equivalent).
  • Skilled in full-custom analogue layout techniques and working with advanced CMOS nodes.
  • Strong communicator and collaborative team player.
