Cyient Semiconductors Pvt. Ltd.: A newly established subsidiary of Cyient Ltd, Cyient Semiconductors specializes in ASIC turnkey solutions, leveraging over 600 IPs and expertise in analog mixed-signal chips. Operating on a fabless model, the company aims to tap into the rapidly expanding global semiconductor market, projected to reach a trillion dollars by 2030.
Job Description Overview
We are looking to fill sales director roles that focus on selling design services (digital and analog), specifically in the semiconductor space, as well as some AI products related to semiconductors.
The primary Responsibilities Include:
Digital Design Services: Salespeople should have experience in semiconductor design services, with a focus on processes smaller than 28nm. The ideal candidates should have experience working with 7nm and 3nm technologies, especially for large chips.
Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Services: These candidates should be experienced with semiconductor processes larger than 40nm, focusing on analog/mixed-signal designs.
AI Solutions: Salespeople who understand turnkey AI products and the integration of AI into semiconductor design
ASICs: These candidates should have a strong background in selling ASICs (i.e., custom semiconductor designs) and ideally have worked with large companies in the semiconductor field.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum Experience: Salespeople should have at least 5 years of experience in semiconductor sales, specifically in digital, analog, or ASIC designs. Experience with AI-related semiconductors is a plus.
Hunter Mentality: Candidates should be proactive and able to find new clients and opportunities (i.e., "hunters"). This means they are expected to go out and actively sell rather than relying on inbound leads or handling existing customers.
Long Sales Cycle: Sales cycles in semiconductor industries can be long (3+ years), so candidates must be comfortable with longer-term engagements and filling the sales pipeline. The focus is on securing purchase orders (POs) and building a pipeline, rather than expecting immediate revenue.
Strong Sales Acumen: Candidates should have experience converting sales into revenue over long sales cycles and must be comfortable with long-term strategic planning.
In Summary:
The role demands candidates with deep experience in semiconductor sales, particularly in digital and analog design services or ASICs, with an emphasis on "hunters" who can aggressively build and manage a sales pipeline over a long cycle. The ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in the field, and should be motivated by long-term sales opportunities, not just immediate revenue.
