As we continue to scale our national capability, we are expanding our engineering team and seeking talented professionals who want to contribute to projects of national impact.

We are looking for experienced Engineers across multiple disciplines — including Security Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Network & Infrastructure Engineering, SOE/MOE Engineering, Application & Platform Engineering, and DevOps/Automation to support the delivery of complex, high-assurance environments.

You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and uplifting secure technology platforms that underpin mission-critical systems. Our engineers work alongside IRAP assessors, security architects, GRC specialists, and project managers to deliver integrated, end-to-end outcomes for government clients.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your engineering specialty, responsibilities may include:

• Designing and implementing secure cloud, network, identity, or end-user computing environments.
• Supporting the delivery and uplift of ACSC Essential Eight controls and broader security hardening initiatives.
• Building and automating platform capabilities (IaC, CI/CD, scripting, infrastructure automation).
• Engineering solutions for classified and PROTECTED environments, including gateways, VDI, secure remote access, and data-centre modernisation.
• Performing technical troubleshooting, optimisation, and lifecycle management of critical systems.
• Developing documentation, engineering standards, and operational runbooks.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with ISM, PSPF, NIST CSF, and Defence requirements.
• Providing technical input into risk assessments, design reviews, incident response activities, and security uplift programs.

About You

You are an engineer who:

• Has proven experience in one or more domains (Cloud, Network, Security, SOE, DevOps, Applications, Platforms).
• Understands secure environments, government standards, and modern engineering practices.
• Can work autonomously and within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Holds (or can obtain as an Australian Citizen) an active AGSVA security clearance
• Is motivated by meaningful work that strengthens Australia’s cyber and data resilience.

Technical Skills

We are interested in engineers with experience in one or more of the following:

• Cloud: Azure, AWS, Entra ID, PIM, Landing Zones, Well-Architected Framework
• Network: Firewalling, secure gateways, routing/switching, VPN, segmentation, Zero Trust
• Security Engineering: Identity, MFA, EDR/SIEM integration, Airlock Digital, Splunk, Sentinel, Tenable
• SOE/MOE: Windows 10/11, Intune/MECM, secure baselines, application packaging
• DevOps: CI/CD, GitHub/Azure DevOps, containers (EKS/ECS/AKS), automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python), Terraform/ARM/Bicep
• Data Centre & Platform: VDI, VMware, storage, backup, monitoring, system hardening
