Be the connector between strategy and execution. As Staff Engineer, you will align teams, shape technical direction, and help create a unified engineering ecosystem that supports innovation across our organization.
In this role, you will drive the design and evolution of robust, scalable architectures that empower our colleagues to build with confidence and deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.
In this role, you will be the vital link between product strategy and technical execution, working closely with Lead Engineers and Principal Engineers to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions. You will help coordinate efforts across teams, contributing to a connected, efficient engineering environment.

Core Responsibilities
- Drive discovery and alignment across multiple domains within a cluster to ensure clear partner communication and shared understanding towards key program activities.
- Support Engineering, Design and Product leadership by facilitating technical collaboration and decision-making between multiple product managers and engineering leads.
- Ensure alignment of technical direction as set by Principal Engineers and drive consistency in execution across product teams and clusters, fostering a unified approach that supports the broader organisational strategy.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple digital domains, pointing the right people in the right direction to tackle complex challenges.
- Advocate for engineering standards and processes by standardising and paving the way for consistent execution across teams.
- Facilitate the adoption of new engineering practices and cultural initiatives that enhance collaboration, innovation, and delivery effectiveness across a cluster of product teams.
- Maintain good communication and people skills to influence without authority and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and share deep technical expertise, including domain knowledge and subject matter expertise.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and storytelling to ensure transparency and clear communication while also mentoring and growing lead engineers towards these outcomes.
- Build POCs to explore new technologies and validate solutions, enabling informed decision-making and innovation within the teams.
Do you have what it takes?
- Demonstrable experience as a Lead Engineer and/or senior engineering role, ideally bridging multiple teams or domains.
- Good communication skills with the ability to align collaborators and facilitate cross-team collaboration.
- Proven ability to advocate and implement engineering standards and best practices.
- Experience in technical leadership without direct authority, influencing outcomes through expertise and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of technical strategy, architecture, and domain knowledge in your area of expertise.
- Skilled in elevating technical discussions and simplifying complex problems.
- A collaborative attitude with a passion for enabling and mentoring others.
- Personal drive and ownership to push initiatives forward and ensure follow-through.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern software development practices.
- Familiarity with Domain Driven Design and microservices architecture.
- Background in agile methodologies and continuous delivery.
- Exposure to infrastructure as code, serverless, or DevOps practices.
- Experience working directly with senior IT groups in an advisory role.
