Would you take the opportunity to work in a company whose vision is to create solutions for waste to reborn as raw materials and renewable energy? Established in 1929, our organization is one of the global leaders in sustainable waste refining and solid biofuel handling systems. You will become part of a team of skilled, enthusiastic, and determined people who share the same values, goals, and passion for building a renewable future together.

Join us as a Plant Design Engineer to develop innovative plant solutions supporting the transition towards a renewable future!

In this role, you will design comprehensive solutions for waste and biomass handling systems.

  • Design plant layouts and integrate equipment systems (e.g., crushers, conveyors, and screens) into the overall solution
  • Create 2D and 3D layouts using CAD software
  • Collaborate closely with sales, equipment and electrical design, and project management
  • Ensure solutions meet technical, environmental, and safety requirements
  • Ensure projects progress according to scope, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Produce technical documentation and support for installation and lifecycle services (maintenance, modernization)

Success in this role requires an engineering degree and experience in design tasks. Knowledge of plant design, material handling systems, and power plant projects is an advantage, as is process knowledge in material handling, waste management, and biomass processes.

We use SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Office, and ERP systems, and will adopt Cadmatic software next year. Experience with these tools is desirable, but do not hesitate to apply even if your expertise lies with other design tools. We also value knowledge of PDM/PLM systems, such as Aton.

You are technically inclined and development-oriented, manage schedules well, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Creativity and flexibility are needed to tackle challenges, but you also handle routine tasks. We value initiative, a practical and results-oriented approach, and excellent collaboration skills.

The role requires fluency in Finnish and English and readiness to work in an English-speaking work and communication culture.

You can work in a hybrid model (50/50) from our offices in Rauma, Pori, or Tampere, and partially remotely. The job may include occasional travel to customer sites.

We are committed to supporting your skill development. You will receive comprehensive onboarding and support from the entire work community. We offer flexible remote work practices and provide necessary tools for your home office.

We offer a monthly salary based on your previous experience and comprehensive employment benefits. Our organization also provides excellent opportunities for career development and professional growth.

The start date is negotiable / early 2026.
