Working as an Obsolescence Engineer

You will primarily work with delivery projects involving exciting technology in advanced systems. You will have contacts with both internal and external parties and participate in various networks and forums.

As an Obsolescence Engineer, you will be responsible for reporting to internal customer projects and our clients. You will collaborate with many different sections within the design department and other stakeholders within our organization. The numerous contact points and involvement in the entire product lifecycle make this position both flexible and stimulating.

The work as an Obsolescence Engineer mainly includes:

• Ensuring that End of Life (EoL) and Obsolescence requirements meet expected delivery in collaboration with product and project management, customers, and other stakeholders
• Create, plan, and follow up on EoL data deliveries in projects
• Support electronics and mechanical designers
• Participate in offer/calculation work
• Be involved and proactive in improvement work related to Obsolescence Management and contribute to further developing our processes
• Develop and continuously maintain materials for regular monitoring of articles related to Obsolescence
• Compile materials for decision-making at End Of Life on components in our products
  
  
  

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a civil or university engineer or equivalent
• Has a few years of experience as a component engineer or system engineer
• Has experience in product development within the electronics field
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and spoken
• Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS is also considered a merit
  
  
  

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security protection regulations. For positions where security classification is required, it may, in some cases, require Swedish citizenship.
