We are seeking a passionate candidate with a strong interest in problem-solving and solution development to join our team as a Sensor & IoT Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying Sensors and IoT solutions to transform real-world data into actionable insights for decision-making. Familiarity with embedded systems, wireless communication, and software development for Sensors and IoT solutions is essential.
Responsibilities
- Research and experiment with emerging Sensors and IoT technologies to identify new opportunities or threats in sense-making and surveillance.
- Design and implement end-to-end sensor and IoT solutions for on-prem and cloud-based platforms.
- Implement data collection, storage, and analytics solutions to manage, process, and analyze data generated by sensor and IoT devices.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot sensor and IoT systems to resolve issues related to performance, network connectivity, or data transmission.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including engagement managers, product teams, and project managers, to ensure user requirements are met.
- Provide advisory support for government sensor and IoT projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Software Engineering or Computer Science.
- Approximately 3 years of experience working with Sensors and IoT solutions, including the use of C/C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with web development frameworks and RESTful APIs is advantageous.
- Experience with surveillance sensors and edge compute devices such as Nvidia Jetson, Arduino, or Raspberry-PI.
- Knowledge of networking principles and communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, and NB-IoT.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization using tools like Python libraries or data analytics platforms.
- Understanding of IoT security best practices and common security threats.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts and conduct demos effectively.
- Good stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract initially and may be considered for permanent tenure based on performance.
