Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Engineering
  • Configure and manage Layer 2/Layer 3 switches and routers for systems, including VLANs, trunking, spanning-tree, routing, and redundancy.
  • Implement and optimize routing protocols (OSPF, static routing, VRRP/HSRP, policy-based routing).
  • Perform IP planning, subnetting, and fleet mapping for multi-site deployments.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot SHDSL modems, IP bridges, and WAN interconnections.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, VPN tunnels (IPSec, SSL), and network access controls.
  • Ensure high-availability and failover connectivity across redundant paths i.e., Fiber, MW & Ethernet.
  • Conduct QoS configuration, bandwidth management, and multicast optimization for various systems and voice systems.
  • Perform packet-level diagnostics using tools such as Wireshark and NMS platforms (PRTG, Omni Vista, Net Gain).
  • System Engineering
  • Program and maintain PABX’s and other networking products/systems.
  • Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Hyper-V/VMware environments.
  • Support Linux-based embedded systems (Busy Box, Quagga, routing daemons).
  • Conduct system integration and end-to-end testing between PABX, network devices, servers, and radios.
  • Maintain configuration backups, network documentation, and software version control.
  • Support NOC operations and perform preventive maintenance and remote monitoring.
  • Develop technical procedures, QA checklists, and integration records aligned with project documentation.

Deployment & Support:

  • Provide on-site technical support during system assembly, FAT/SAT, and field deployment.
  • Train technicians and users on system operation, troubleshooting, and network management.
  • Assist in preparing technical proposals, BOMs, and network design drawings.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Network, or Telecommunications Engineering.
  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Layer 2/3 networking and system engineering.
  • Proficiency in VLANs, OSPF, NAT, ACLs, STP/RSTP, LACP, DHCP snooping.
  • Experience in VoIP (SIP, RTP, numbering plans, trunking).
  • Experience with Firewall and VPN configuration (Fortinet, Cisco, or equivalent).
  • Experience in network monitoring (PRTG, NetGain, Omni Vista, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of PoE, fiber, SHDSL, and industrial networking equipment.
  • Experience with various switches, SHDSL modems preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP
  • Fortinet NSE 1–3
  • Alcatel ACFE / ALE Field Expert
  • Ruijie RCNA-R&S / WLAN
  • VMware or Microsoft Server certifications
