Job Title: Design Engineer

Minimum Qualification:

• ME/ M.Tech in Structural Engineering

Experience:

• 3 – 7 Years in Designing & Detailing of Transmission Towers and Foundations

Objective:

Capable of reviewing and executing engineering activities for the complete design of transmission line towers, civil foundations, and associated structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect all inputs to carry out design activities.
• Read technical specifications and identify clauses related to tower and foundation design.
• Review and ensure optimum design before submission to the client.
• Ensure quantity control and optimization of civil and structural quantities.
• Interact with project execution team/vendors to resolve problems.
• Witness tower testing at different test beds.
• Prepare BOQ and design documents required at the pre-tender stage.
• Post-award submission and approval of all design-related documents from the client.
• Maintain all engineering documents as per ISO norms.

Technical Expertise:

• Route selection, profiles, sag, tension charts, design of transmission line towers, foundations, and gantry structures.
• Design detailed drawings for TL towers and all types of foundations.
• Knowledge of design calculations as per domestic and international codes.
• Select test load cases for towers.
• Prepare stringing charts for the site.
• Conversant with Indian and international standards like BS, UBC, ACI, ASCE.
• Review vendor drawings for bought-out items.

Software Skills Required:

• Proficiency with structural software like PLS Tower, STAADPro, PLS Pole.
• Excellent in MS Office and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
