Design Engineer Elektrotechniek

Role Description:

As a Design Engineer in Electrotechnics, you will be responsible for setting up and developing electrotechnical designs and calculations within Sustainable Building Services & Physics (SBS&P). You will work in a team, and your designs will often involve complex and innovative electrotechnical installations, such as medium and low voltage installations, lighting, fire protection, detection systems, and communication networks. You will prepare the necessary calculations, create principle diagrams, and be at the forefront of installation design. Your work will be conducted in a digital BIM environment, using Autodesk products like Revit and BIM360Docs.

Responsibilities:

You will be part of a project team and independently take responsibility for complex and innovative electrotechnical installation issues. The building-related installation technology is evolving due to climate agreement objectives, energy transition, grid congestion, and the digitization of technologies. Within the design team, you will coordinate your design with other involved disciplines, both within and outside the organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Completed HBO or WO education in electrotechnics (installation technology).
• At least 4 years of work experience in a similar role.
• Intrinsically motivated to work on the sustainability of building-related installations.
• Practical orientation with an affinity for building-related installations.
• Initiative-taking and thinking in suitable, innovative solutions, even when they are not obvious.
• Knowledge of Dutch installation technical laws and regulations.
• Good social and communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills in both Dutch and English.
• Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Revit is a plus.
