Job Description

The Senior Vision Engineer is responsible for designing vision and optical test applications for automated test & measurement systems. Responsibilities include designing and performing surface inspections, 2D & 3D measurement systems, and industrial inspection systems.

Your contribution in this role:

• Design, realize, and validate vision system concepts and architecture.
• Responsible for optical system architecture and validation of automated test solutions.
• Design optical test applications and select components based on specifications.
• Build prototype setups and perform theoretical calculations.
• Manage scope, timeline, and budget within projects.
• Provide sales support by offering concepts, calculations, and feasibility studies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Document and communicate lessons learned in projects.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be able to learn quickly, possess strong attention to detail, and have strong communication skills.

Degree:

• A Master degree or PhD from an accredited engineering or science program.

Experienced:

• 3 or more years of experience in machine vision, vision inspection, and image processing.
• Experience in optical design software is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of camera, lighting, and lens selection for applications.
• Experience in vision software and algorithm design for AI or deep learning is a plus.
• Experience in medical validation is a plus.
• Must be eligible to work in Europe without VISA sponsorship.
