Senior Computer Vision Engineer- Robotics

The Opportunity

Our organization is excited to be representing a stealth-stage deep tech Physical AI company based in Stockholm. They are building the critical observability infrastructure needed to deploy Physical AI and agentic workflows in industrial environments. This founding-team role bridges the gap between physical hardware and cloud-scale AI models.

They are building “Local Factory-as-a-Service”: a network of autonomous, local micro-factories, all powered by Physical AI turning low-volume assembly from a massive capital expense into a simple, on-demand utility.

The Role

As the World View & Data Flywheel Engineer, you will own the observability layer that translates real-world physics into AI-ready data. You will build custom robot integration packages, fuse heterogeneous sensor data, and architect the data flywheel that powers continuous reinforcement learning on the shop floor.

Your Responsibilities

• Own the Observability Layer: Architect pipelines to capture real-time telemetry, 3D point clouds, and video logs from active robot cells.
• Build Safe-State Projections: Fuse data from vision systems, PLCs, and robot controllers into structured variables for a deterministic supervisor.
• Develop Integration Packages: Extract high-fidelity data directly from diverse industrial hardware.
• Deploy Deep Learning: Train and manage computer vision models for spatial awareness and semantic scene understanding.
• Architect the RL Flywheel: Automate the capture, annotation, and ingestion of robot edge cases into foundational World Models.

What You Bring

• Education: Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Vision, or equivalent experience.
• Robotics Expertise: Hands-on experience with industrial robotics (e.g., ABB, UR, Yaskawa) and PLC synchronization.
• Computer Vision: Strong background in 2D/3D machine vision and production deep learning deployment.
• Software Skills: Exceptional Python and C++ programming, including custom hardware drivers or URCaps.

Preferred Attributes

• Obsession with robust sensor fusion and flawless data extraction from messy, real-world environments.
• Experience with industrial vision for robotic guidance tasks like bin picking or assembly.
• A pragmatic, full-stack mindset spanning low-level hardware scripts to cloud data pipelines.
