SE-Android Software Engineer(A78553)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement native platform software for AOSP based infotainment solutions.
• Develop Android applications and services for next-generation automotive solutions.
• Focus on clean, high-quality, maintainable code.
• Collaborate closely with global cross-functional teams to define features.
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance in selected areas.
• Contribute to the improvement of Android development processes, tooling, and architecture.
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in Android development.
• Utilize key Android components such as Activities, Services, Content Providers, Broadcast Receivers, and Intents to build robust solutions.

Requirements

• M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience in software development.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Android development, ideally within the automotive or infotainment domain.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven expertise in Kotlin and Java with strong proficiency in Android Studio.
• Deep experience with native AOSP development using the Soong/Make build system.
• Solid understanding of the Android SDK and platform architecture.
• Familiarity with Android runtime resource overlays (RRO), system-level permissions, and privileged apps is a plus.
• Experience in C/C++ is a strong advantage in this role and knowledge in automotive communication protocols and/or QNX is a strong advantage.
• Comfort working with AI tools to accelerate development and optimize code.
• Corporate language is English and proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable to facilitate collaboration with international teams.
• A valid driver’s license is a plus for in-vehicle testing and validation tasks.
