Process Modeling Engineer

About the Role

This role is not just a typical process engineering position. It involves working with physics-based modeling and AI to solve real industrial problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop process models based on Aspen Plus / HYSYS / Dynamics.
• Implement physical models for reactions, separations, and mass transfer.
• Combine physical models with AI/ML models for hybrid modeling.
• Develop AI models based on process data.
• Design decision-making and automation logic using LLM / AI Agent.
• Build digital twins based on real-time data.
• Perform scenario simulations and process optimization.
• Design autonomous operation structures.
• Conduct technical explanations and consulting for clients.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related field, or expected to obtain one.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field with over 3 years of industry experience.
• Experience in process simulation or strong problem-solving skills based on physics/mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Aspen Plus Dynamics / ACM.
• Experience in chemical process fields such as thermodynamics, catalysis, adsorption, crystallization, and reactions.
• Experience with Python or data analysis.
• Experience solving real plant problems.
• Experience in client interaction or technical consulting.

Working Conditions

Full-time position with a probation period of 3 months. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Salary is competitive and negotiable based on experience and capabilities.
