Job Description

The Global Operations (GOPS) team is responsible for manufacturing leading-edge technology. We partner with our worldwide supply base and design engineering teams to bring new products to market. The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products better, faster, and cheaper.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with Design Engineering team for the release of new products (NPI) into Manufacturing.
  • Involve in product enhancement and evaluate the design for manufacturability and reliability by participating in design reviews and the assembly of prototype units.
  • Apply 7-step troubleshooting, including driving learning and standardization where appropriate.
  • Drive continuous improvement to minimize cycle time and quality issues.
  • Create Engineering Change Orders (ECO), structure BOMs, and create test and assembly documentation as needed.
  • Perform First Article qualifications for parts and obsolescence components.
  • Conduct detailed failure analysis on parts and propose concepts to enhance performance.
  • Provide support on field escalations for analysis and resolution on any issue requiring in-depth product knowledge.
  • Generate and maintain process and equipment work instructions, drawings, and other production documents to conform to specifications.
  • Respond to failure analysis and provide comprehensive analysis reports to field support teams or customers. Implement corrective actions through systematic methods.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve component/part quality problems and dispose of non-conformance items in a timely manner.
  • Assist Quality and Purchasing departments in driving supplier quality improvements, cost reductions, and engineering support as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master's/Ph.D in Mechanical / Mechatronics, preferably with 1 - 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Entry-level graduates of Master's Degree and above with strong academic knowledge in relevant fields are welcomed.
  • Ability to develop test benches to diagnose electronics/noise issues that cause system-level failure.
  • Understand the working principle of complex electro-mechanical assemblies on high precision defect inspection equipment and how they relate to system performance.
  • Good understanding of pneumatics, computers, control systems, and sensors involved in electro-mechanical stages/robots.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma processes is desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of electronics components involved in the design and development of optical-based, semiconductor inspection equipment or equivalent is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to support technical issues, set up experiments, and perform data analysis.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, understand BOMs, and use a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-driven individual with a keen technical mind, positive attitude, and strong team player.
  • Up to 25% of international travel may be expected.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree or work experience of 0 years, Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 1 year.
