Frontend Software Engineer (React & Typescript)

About the Role

We are hiring a Mid-level Frontend Engineer (React & Typescript) who will drive the implementation and optimization of user-facing features for our AI-driven career guidance solution, focusing on technical integrity, high performance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Responsibilities

• Product Implementation: Drive new feature implementation from specification to deployment, ensuring code quality, that directly supports a seamless, accessible and personalized user experience.
• Code Quality & Integrity: Elevate engineering standards by actively reviewing code, adhering to established testing protocols, and safeguarding codebase maintainability, security and robustness.
• Design & System Partnership: Act as the technical partner to the Design and Product teams, translating designs into highly performant and scalable software solutions.
• Performance & Scalability: Own front-end performance metrics, continuously optimizing application speed, responsiveness, and resource utilization for a world-class global experience.
• Technical Evolution: Propose, evaluate, and champion new tools, libraries, and modern practices to future-proof the front-end stack.

Your Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in front-end development.
• Expertise in TypeScript, React (function components with hooks) and Web/DOM APIs.
• Strong experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
• Proficiency with key React ecosystem libraries: state management (Redux/Zustand/SWR), styling (emotion/TSS), animation frameworks (GSAP/react-spring), testing (Vitest/Playwright).

Extra Awesome

• Working knowledge of SSR frameworks (e.g., Vike, Next.js, Remix).
• Experience with Ruby and Rails, Storybook, bundlers, service workers, or Google Cloud.

Salary & Start Date

• We use a salary benchmark for the Dutch high-tech sector to set your salary based on your experience. We expect that the annual gross salary for the experience we are looking for ranges from €55k - €65k per year.
• We accept applications on a rolling basis, and we envision a start date as soon as possible.
