Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop features for embedded systems across our Micromobility product line (vehicles, docks, internal tools).
  • Work with cross-functional teams to prototype, develop, and take to production, our next generation of world-class mobility products.
  • Work on refinements and updates to improve the overall experience on existing products.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ Years developing in C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with using Python for scripting and automated-test.
  • Experience using an embedded real-time OS (FreeRTOS, ThreadX, etc).
  • Understanding of low-level OS concepts (memory management, scheduling, threads, interrupts).
  • Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M line of processors.
  • Hands-on experience in supporting electrical bring-up and debugging.
  • Strong embedded debugging skills including ability to use debug probes, signal analyzers, oscilloscopes and power analyzers.
  • Experience translating product needs into actionable schedules.
  • Strong communications skills for articulating technical approaches and sharing out risk and progress to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts.

We highly value having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office at least 3 days per week. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

The expected base pay range for this position in the Montreal area is CAD $72,000 - CAD $110,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
