Job Description

In a dynamic SME (~700 employees) dedicated to optimizing water and energy resources through IoT solutions, the IT department (~60 employees), organized into 4 BUs (Architecture/Infrastructure, Support/Development, IT Operations, and Data), plays a key role in digital transformation and European expansion.

We are looking for an Application Integration Developer / IT Developer, comfortable with backend development and interested in application interconnection issues.

Main Missions

Within the Studies and Development department (≈30 people), you will work in project mode and closely collaborate with development, architecture, operations, and business teams.

Development & Application Integration

• Develop and maintain backend applications and services (mainly in .NET / C#, scripts, SQL, but also Python as needed).
• Design and implement interfaces and integration flows between ERP SAP S/4Hana, Salesforce, and internal applications and SaaS solutions.
• Develop REST APIs / exchange services (JSON, XML, SOAP if needed).
• Implement automation scripts: Python (processing, integrations, flow automation), Bash / PowerShell (system scripts, scheduled jobs, internal tooling).
• Participate in the orchestration and reliability of application exchanges.
• Implement scripts and automations to facilitate data exchanges and inter-processes.

Maintenance & Evolution

• Ensure corrective and evolutionary maintenance of a varied application perimeter.
• Work on legacy environments (historical databases, Access, old applications) in a logic of securing and progressive evolution.
• Participate in testing, validation, and production phases.
• Monitor flows and applications in production and handle incidents escalated by support.

Transversal Work & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with business teams to understand needs, propose pragmatic solutions, and implement them.
• Work with architecture teams to ensure the coherence of the IT system.
• Write technical documentation and participate in skills transfer.
• Ensure technological watch (development, integration, cloud, automation).

Technical Environment

• Backend / Development: C#, .NET (.NET 7/8), scripts (Python, PowerShell or equivalent), SQL
• Integration & Exchanges: API REST / SOAP, JSON, XML ETL / ESB (Talend, Azure Data Factory or equivalent – practice appreciated, not mandatory)
• Cloud & DevOps: Azure (PaaS / IaaS), CI/CD, Agile / DevOps practices
• IT & Tools: SAP S/4Hana, Salesforce Hybrid modern environment + legacy

Desired Profile

Key Skills (Priorities)

• Solid experience in backend / application development (ideally C# / .NET).
• Good scripting practice in Python and/or Bash for automation and integration.
• Understanding of inter-application exchanges (API, flows, data synchronization).
• Comfortable with application maintenance (TMA) and heterogeneous environments.
• Ability to analyze a business need and propose a reliable technical solution.
• Autonomy, rigor, and sense of responsibility.

Appreciated Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience or exposure to: ETL / ESB, SAP, Salesforce, Azure Cloud, Application monitoring and supervision.
• Sensitivity to IT architecture and transversal integration issues.

Soft Skills

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in interface (business / IT / partners).
• Collaborative spirit, technical curiosity.
• Ability to evolve in a transformation context.

Languages

• English: professional level (documentation, occasional exchanges).
