Job Description

A Data and Analytics consultancy client of ours requires an immediate start Databricks Engineer for one of their projects in Sydney.

The role can be onsite, hybrid or remote.

Requirements:

• Databricks (ideally with certifications) an absolute
• This role is ideal for someone with 3-7 years of experience delivering complex data and analytics solutions in a client-facing environment, preferably within a consulting setting.
• You will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of end-to-end data projects, with a strong focus on Microsoft’s modern data platform stack, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and ideally, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
• You will also guide clients through cloud data migrations, modern data architecture, and best practices for scalable data engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Ideally lead and deliver data engineering projects from discovery through deployment.
• Design and implement cloud-native data pipelines using Azure and Databricks
• Provide strategic input on data architecture, migration strategies, and governance.
• Ideally act as a technical lead, mentoring junior engineers and guiding project teams.
• Engage directly with clients to understand business goals and align technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into broader business initiatives and strategies.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and scope changes.

About You

• 3-7 years of consulting experience in data and analytics project delivery.
• Proven expertise in the Microsoft Data Platform (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SQL, Power BI).
