Responsibilities

• Develop computer vision models to process images of roofs, electrical panels, attics, garages, meters, and other home elements.
• Extract critical design parameters by processing images and documents required for solar power plant design.
• Build scalable, production-ready pipelines for image ingestion, processing, feature extraction, and interface integration.
• Train models using custom datasets.
• Optimize models for speed and accuracy using transfer learning or vision transformer architectures.
• Weigh multiple approaches to choose the most appropriate methodology, considering technical debt.
• Collaborate with solar design experts to improve models and ensure output aligns with solar system design requirements.
• Integrate the output with frontend systems such as basic webpages, Excel, or third-party SaaS applications.
• Continuously test and refine models to improve accuracy, reliability, and speed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• 3–6 years of experience in computer vision, image processing, or ML.
• Strong sense of product ownership.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.
• Knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD is preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of computer vision models and object detection.
• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Familiarity with cloud-based model deployment, CI/CD, and scalable software architecture.
• Expertise in OCR and text extraction from images.
• Experience in automating Excel or working with spreadsheet APIs.
