Bid engineer (m/f/x)

About the Role

At our organization, we connect energy systems, buildings, and industries to shape the way we live and work. We are looking for a Bid Engineer to help build the energy systems of the future.

In this role, you will translate customer needs into tailored technical and commercial solutions. You will collaborate with clients, sales, and technical teams to configure and propose medium-voltage solutions.

Our portfolio includes low and medium-voltage switchgear, protection systems, substation automation, power quality, smart communication, and microgrids. Projects span public and private sectors in Belgium and French-speaking Africa.

Your Tasks

• Analyzing project requests and converting them into feasible technical solutions from our portfolio.
• Basic engineering of solutions, including single line diagrams and conceptual designs.
• Technical clarification with customers through meetings.
• Elaboration of quotations, including technical descriptions and cost calculations.
• Providing technical support to sales colleagues for pre-sales negotiations.
• Assisting in the transfer of projects to execution teams.

Your Skills

• Technical degree in electrical or electromechanical engineering or related field.
• Interest in medium voltage and/or protection systems.
• Experience or strong interest in electrical distribution/transport.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Languages: Dutch or French and English.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple bids.

• Project Management experience.
• Basic knowledge of networking and communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
