This role focuses on features like Navigation on Pilot (NOP), automated lane changes, navigation-based speed adjustments, and geofencing capabilities, ensuring seamless functionality throughout the V-model development cycle (requirements, design, implementation, and testing).
You will ensure the delivery of these features by the Start of Production (SOP), meeting quality, timing, and budget targets. This position emphasizes collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to meet program milestones and release schedules, focusing on safety, compliance, end-user satisfaction and feature homologation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for the development of Navigation on Pilot (NOP) features, ensuring the timely delivery of critical milestones.
- Define and synchronize NOP-specific architecture at the vehicle level, integrating components like maps, E-horizon, radars, cameras, and chassis systems.
- Lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier relationships to achieve feature performance goals within allocated resources.
- Oversee the design and integration of key functionalities, such as:
- Automated Lane changes.
- Ramp-On/Off detection.
- Navigation-based speed adjustments.
- Driver monitoring and handoff processes.
- Geofenced activation and feature scalability.
- Approve design concepts and supplier deliverables for NOP-related features, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct vehicle-level testing and analysis to validate NOP performance, identifying and implementing improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards like ISO 26262 and SOTIF, as well as industry-specific regulations for NOP systems.
- Facilitate structured problem-solving processes to address technical challenges efficiently.
- Provide system-level DFMEA inputs and ensure risk assessments are documented and managed.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance development processes, product quality, and team collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s or degree or PHD in software engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field, with significant experience in navigation-based ADAS/AD features.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing the development of navigation-integrated systems like NOP.
- Strong understanding of automotive electronics, ADAS/AD sensor fusion, and navigation system integration.
- Knowledge of standards such as ISO 26262, SOTIF, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Familiarity with navigation-linked autonomous systems, including lane-keeping, adaptive cruise control, and geofencing.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced expertise in automotive network technologies (CAN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet, AUTOSAR).
- Experience in designing systems for navigation-guided features, such as lane change automation and highway assistance.
- Proficiency in system engineering tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, IBM Rhapsody) and requirement management platforms (e.g., DOORS, Codebeamer).
- Basic programming knowledge (Python or similar) for task automation and tool integration.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Comprehensive knowledge of system engineering modeling languages like SysML and UML.
Personal and Language Skills:
- Strong leadership and team motivation abilities, with proven experience moderating and guiding cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical topics to stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, with a high degree of tenacity and a pragmatic approach to challenges.
- Fluent in English; local language proficiency is an advantage for non-English speaking regions.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary
- Enjoy preferential pricing for services within the Vingroup ecosystem including Vinmec, Vinpearl, and Vinschool...
