About the role

This hands-on position involves deep technical contributions and close collaboration within our client's 5-engineer Tracking Core team. You will be instrumental in continuously improving an advanced real-time tracking system deployed globally, leveraging computer vision and physical modeling.

Work tasks

• Develop and maintain components of the real-time tracking system.
• Analyze performance of tracking algorithms using data from production installations.

Job Description

We are looking for someone with key skills and able to perform the following roles & responsibilities:

• Plan and execute vehicle-level after-treatment system tests (DOC, DPF, SCR, thermal management, and regeneration).
• Perform software calibration, configuration, and validation using OEM-standard tools (ETAS INCA, CANape, MATLAB, Concerto).
• Conduct on-road and test-cell evaluations for performance, emission, and OBD compliance.
• Set up and instrument test vehicles; ensure accuracy, safety, and readiness for validation.
• Perform data logging, analysis, and reporting for emissions and system parameters.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience: 3–8 years in after-treatment calibration, vehicle testing, or powertrain validation (preferably for heavy-duty vehicles).
• Hands-on proficiency with ETAS INCA, Vector CANape, MATLAB/Simulink, Concerto, and other calibration tools.
• Knowledge of engine control systems, after-treatment architecture (DOC, DPF, SCR, DEF dosing), and OBD functionality.
• Valid Swedish Class C truck driving licence – COMPULSORY.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Design Review Engineer to join our team in Malmö. You will be responsible for accredited design control of pressure-bearing devices, working closely with clients and colleagues in other departments. Our clients are primarily in Sweden, but we also handle international assignments.

Role Description

As a Design Review Engineer, you will work on multiple projects simultaneously, requiring a structured approach to achieve your goals. We offer internal training on regulations, standards, and calculation methods to complement your experience and knowledge.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with a focus on strength of materials.
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience in the industry, particularly with pressure equipment, boilers, and/or ADR/TPED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding Engineer certification (IWE or IWT).
• Previous experience in Design Review.

Role Overview

As a Design Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design and development of propulsion systems for marine and industrial applications. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product development lifecycle, from early concept design to prototype builds, testing, validation, and production support.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems within driveline and transmission applications.
• Participate in the entire development process, including concept development, detailed design, prototyping, validation, and product maintenance.
• Develop and optimize complex components such as castings and other machine element parts.
• Support prototype builds and participate in rig testing and field testing activities.
• Work closely with production and supplier teams to optimize component performance and manufacturability.
• Contribute to quality improvements, cost optimization, and continuous product enhancements.
• Ensure designs meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements.

Knowledge / Experience

• Several years of experience working as a Design Engineer in product development projects.
• Solid experience with mechanical design across multiple development stages.
• Proficiency in Creo.
• Experience designing complex mechanical components, such as castings and transmission-related parts.
• Ability to work both from a holistic system perspective and at a detailed component level.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

• Approximately 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience working in cross-functional and project-based environments.
• Interest in or experience with products and systems used in a marine or industrial environment.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing sites and external suppliers.

• Experience building intuitive data visualizations and dashboards that influence business decisions, utilizing tools like Tableau, Mixpanel, Looker, or similar.
