Job Description
As a Project Engineer, you will support project planning and be responsible for coordinating technical solutions between different parties. The role involves actively monitoring schedules, costs, and quality, ensuring that project goals are met. On-site, you will act as a technical supervisor, ensure documentation is up-to-date, and participate in both end-customer and site inspections as needed. Additionally, you will prepare the necessary measures for the commissioning phase and help reduce project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Daily work also includes preparing procurements from identifying customer needs to compiling procurement packages. You will be responsible for maintaining information in the ERP system and ensuring that project progress is accurately reflected in the systems. You will work closely with designers and guide the design process in the right direction. At the same time, you will keep site operations coordinated and ensure that subcontractors, installation resources, and other project parties operate as agreed. Any additional and modification work will also go through you: you will prepare them technically and ensure their progress.

The technical requirements of the job require expertise in documentation management and monitoring compliance with safety and quality requirements. Experience working on construction sites and projects provides a strong foundation for success in the role, and you must also manage customer interface interactions naturally. SolidWorks, eDrawing, or AutoCAD skills and good IT skills support success in the job. The job requires fluent Finnish and English language skills.
A suitable educational background for the position could be, for example, in the construction field, but more important than education is the ability to grasp multiple parallel entities, learn new things quickly, and work dynamically with both the project team and customers. The work takes place variably on sites, in the office, and remotely, and projects are located in different parts of Finland. Therefore, the position requires readiness to travel both domestically and occasionally abroad. A suitable location is near one of our organization's offices (Helsinki, Kaarina, or Nurmijärvi), preferably in the capital region. A clean background is required for the position, and a limited security clearance will be conducted for the selected person.

Senior Software Engineer (Android), Automotive Integration

What We Do
The Automotive Integration team onboards new automotive customers, integrates their embedded platforms with our product offerings, implements custom solutions on demand, and provides post-launch technical support. We monitor the quality of our products through key performance indicators (KPIs) collected from the automotive customer's hardware and ensure they use our SDKs most efficiently by fine-tuning our products accordingly. Our product is the entire platform that makes a great in-vehicle navigation experience, from a fully functional integrated solution to individual components targeting Linux Embedded platforms. Our solutions power experiences and operations for customers with the portfolio in rapid expansion.
What You'll Do
Joining us as a Senior Software Engineer (Android), you’ll play a key role in developing software for next-generation automotive navigation systems.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Understand the minimum requirements for our automotive solutions, map those against the reference platforms, and monitor KPIs by collecting metrics from the automotive customers' development benches or cars.
- Write clean, fast code to integrate various data inputs required for our automotive navigation system product offerings, or provide custom-tailored solutions as needed.
- Fine-tune the automotive navigation experience through profiling and debugging techniques to extract the best experience from our customers' automotive platforms.
- Work with technical counterparts at customers and partners to discover requirements, provide implementation recommendations, and debug integrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure best practices for cross-platform API design and performance tuning for specific hardware and software combinations.
- Investigate and triage technical issues between our organization, customers, and Tier 1 partners.
- Develop the best ways to solve technical challenges within existing technological and business constraints.
- Improve the product’s performance, stability, maintainability, and simplicity.
