Job Description

As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will work on solving some of the industry's toughest challenges and develop the next generation of wearable devices. You will collaborate closely with hardware and software teams around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to state-of-the-art tracking / SLAM algorithms
  • Develop novel features for the next generation of AR products
  • Design, implement, and integrate existing and new Computer Vision and Augmented Reality algorithms
  • Research new techniques to improve speed and quality of existing algorithms for Computer Vision
  • Work with the computer vision team to deliver next-generation detection technology for augmented reality systems

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Solid foundation in Computer Vision such as camera models, multi-view geometry, and transformations
  • Solid math background with understanding of 3D geometry, trigonometry, and linear algebra
  • Ability to transform ideas into clean, fast, and reliable code
  • Attention to detail, strong desire for quality, and good communication skills
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc with 3+ years of relevant experience in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience with SLAM or visual tracking systems
  • Track record of successful projects showing computer vision skills
  • 3+ years of programming experience in C++

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters, PhD, or industrial experience in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience with non-linear optimization, Kalman filtering, State-estimation
  • Experience in implementing high-performance computer vision algorithms

Job Description

  • Manage doing AEID basic engineering and partly detail engineering work according to needs - using AEID engineering tools (MS Office based, COMOS, etc.)
  • Analyzing customers' contact requirements and preparation of technical specification in order to purchase AEID equipment, components and work
  • Support on purchasing activities for the supply and delivery of AEID equipment, components and work
  • Continuously and actively track the AEID orders on equipment, components and work in view of technical correctness and schedule
  • Communicate regularly within the AEI team but also with the entire project team.
  • Wherever interfaces to mechanical systems and equipment exist – be active to clarify the interfaces and to receive needed information in time
  • Support project management to communicate AEID technical items towards the customer
  • Eventually – supervise E&I site installations and be part of the commissioning team

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • EID engineering knowledge, preferable of power industry
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, basic knowledge of AEI engineering tools (Comos, EPLAN or similar)

We offer a competitive salary and additional benefits based on performance, experience, and qualification.
