Our Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Vehicle Engineer with expertise in ADAS, EVs and/or AVs for our Vehicle Engineering Practice in our Phoenix, AZ office. The candidate should have a fundamental interest in the automotive field, be technically talented with good hands-on skills, have excellent communication skills, and be motivated to grow professionally within our organization.
You will be responsible for
- Supporting existing consulting projects that involve the analysis and testing of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS); automated vehicles; electric vehicles; vehicle, engine, and component performance; mechanical and electrical failures; safety assessments; federal and state regulations; and the design of consumer and industrial products
- Developing specialized expertise in the automotive field such as the design, performance, and testing of existing or emerging automotive technology
- Setting up and executing various test programs, including full-scale vehicle tests and component or control systems evaluations
- Managing projects from initiation to completion and ensuring that our organization meets its deadlines and produces exceptional work product
You Will Have The Following Skills And Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in ADAS, electric vehicles (EVs), automated vehicles (AVs), and/or vehicle safety, vehicle and automotive system design, development, testing, and deployment
- Knowledge of automotive systems
- Field and/or lab measurement experience required
- Must have analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have knowledge of dynamics, mechanical design, and control systems
- P.E. license or the willingness to obtain a P.E. license
- Must be versatile, team-oriented, willing to work overtime and travel when required
- Must possess strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to synthesize technical information and present it to specialists and non-specialists alike
- Clear written communication and technical writing skills are required
- Must have a proven dedication to quality and accuracy
