DevOps Engineer (w/m/d)

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, managing, and operating containerized IT platforms. You will operate a large security-critical application with many external interface partners, including monitoring interfaces, analyzing error situations, troubleshooting, and taking on 3rd-level support tasks. You will also develop and implement security measures, including load and failure simulation tests and recovery tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, support, and further develop our internal CI/CD environment.
• Develop modern build and deployment pipelines.
• Work closely and agilely in ITIL, Scrum with our development and support team.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in business informatics, computer science, or a comparable education as an IT specialist.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position with the described technologies and applications.
• Solid knowledge of monitoring and logging technologies (e.g., Elastic Stack, Nagios, Icinga, Prometheus).
• Knowledge in network technology, firewall, and load balancing.
• Experience with a configuration management tool (Chef / Ansible / Puppet / Salt).
• Experience in operating web-based applications, ideally in private (On-Premise) and public clouds.
• Secure knowledge in Linux with a focus on Ubuntu and CentOS distributions.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines based on GitLab.
• Fluent English and business-level German skills.
