Azure Cloud Architect (Contract)

We’re working with a leading organisation in the aviation industry undertaking a major Azure transformation. They’re seeking an Azure Cloud Architect to redesign and modernise their Azure environment from both a security and architecture perspective.

The environment has grown organically over time and now requires a strategic redesign to enhance scalability, governance, and security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Redesign and optimise the Azure environment to align with best practices and security standards
• Define and implement scalable cloud architecture and governance frameworks
• Work closely with security, infrastructure, and networking teams to ensure compliance and performance
• Provide architectural oversight across Azure, networking, and Microsoft 365 services
• Lead initiatives focused on automation, integration, and cloud-native design

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience architecting and implementing enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure environments
• Strong understanding of Azure governance, networking, and security best practices
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services and their integration within Azure environments
• Experience with Azure API Gateway (Azure API Management) is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Contract Details:

• Location: Sydney (Hybrid working model)
• Initial 6–12 month contract (with potential extension)
• Competitive daily rate
