Job Title: Director of Engineering – BSP Leader
Job Type: Full Time Permanent Job

Mission of the Role: Oversee the strategy, development, delivery of the OS (Android, QNX & Linux), Hypervisors and BSP for the Infotainment & CDC platforms & products. Ensure a robust, scalable, solutions across the products.
Champion the alignment of organizational commitments and the delivery responsibilities. Work on defining & executing product requirements, roadmaps that meets industry standards and drive innovation & excellence.

Key Skills:
20+ yrs overall, 10+ in embedded dev (C/C++/Java)
Hands-on with QNX, Linux BSP, Android OS Middleware, Hypervisors
Strong understanding of interfaces: USB, PCIe, SPI, I2C, UART, NAND/eMMC/UFS, etc.
Experience with BSP development and peripheral integration like: Audio, Touch, Camera, Video, Sensors
Infotainment or Mobile Device platform experience preferred
Not suitable: candidates with only microcontroller or bare-metal experience, or from storage-heavy companies (e.g., Western Digital)
Should have led multiple OS teams (Linux, Android, QNX)

Ensure the timely high-quality delivery of the OS & BSP work products across multiple scrums.

Oversee & Manage cost, time & scope for all the platforms & projects under the scope of BSP & OS deliverables.

Define & drive a scalable software architecture, that meets the highest safety, security and performance standards.
Team & Financial Performance
Identify, mentor, and manage high performance development Teams, that ensures optimal resource utilization and adhering to the financial targets.
Customer Satisfaction
Collaborate with all the stake holders & Customers to understand their needs, provide regular updates and deliver work products that exceeds quality & stability expectations, within the set time limit.
Continuous Improvements
Foster an environment that naturally drives innovations & continuous improvement across all the engineering steps, tools, and practices to improve efficiency & effectiveness.
Inter Domain Collaboration
Work along with Product Development, HW, Systems, Suppliers, and External stakeholders to align the expectations and deliver End to End solutions.

Key Year One Deliverables:
 Delivery production ready high-quality OS & BSP work products for the platforms & products based on
Hypervised / non Hypervised Android, QNX, Linux OS.
 Achieve measurable improvements in software quality & delivery.
 20 % reduction in defect density & zero slippage on delivery timeline.
 Successfully manage the execution of at least 3 major Customer milestones.
 Drive & implement a robust Architecture strategy for platforms & products that emphasizes scalability.
 Establish initiatives that improves Customer satisfactions, that leads to at least 10 % improvement in the
feedback ratings.
 Streamline the workflows, that reduces the delivery cycles by at least 15 %
 Improve Employee satisfaction in 2 identified areas by 20 %.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:
• Master’s / bachelor’s degree in business management
• 16+ years of relevant experience preferably in regional or global environment.
• Experience collaborating with Executive Team and Business Leaders.
• 10+ years of embedded software development experience in C/C++/Java
• Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated leadership at a management level.
• Five (5) years of experience as an architect working on a complex (IVI / Mobile) embedded systems with
advanced technologies like speech, networking, image processing, AI/ML, etc.
• Hands-on & direct experience on QNX & Linux BSP, Hypervisor, Android OS Middleware
• Experience with the BSP SW and understanding of interfaces USB/PCIE/SPI/I2C/UART, Displays and storage
devices NAND/eMMC/UFS etc.
• Platform and SoC bring-up experience with good schematic/board level issues debugging along with
SoC/Platform level Boot, Power and performance profiling and optimization
• Exposure in connectivity architecture using Wireless (Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC), and wired (Ethernet,
CAN, Posix socket API, TCP/UDP/IP/multicast) interfaces
• Development of HAL, system services, Kernel modules, custom Android platform and builds, android device
development
• Experience with platform services like power management, state management, health management
(watchdogs, power health monitoring), and reset handlers
• Experience in implementing software OTA and cloud connectivity
• Experience using Agile/Scrum/Sprint methodology including sprint planning and execution
